Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD)

Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) is a gentle, specialised treatment designed to support the movement of lymphatic fluid throughout the body. Using slow, rhythmic techniques, MLD may assist with swelling, edema, fluid retention, post-surgical recovery, and feelings of heaviness or congestion while supporting the body’s natural drainage and healing processes.

In addition to clinical and recovery-focused applications, MLD may also be used to support general wellbeing and relaxation. Many people find the calming, rhythmic nature of the treatment deeply restorative, helping to encourage relaxation, reduce feelings of stress and tension, and promote an overall sense of balance and ease within the body.

MLD is intentionally light in pressure and treatments are always adapted to the individual, their health history, and stage of recovery. Some medical conditions and post-surgical situations may require modifications, medical clearance, or a brief discussion prior to treatment to ensure MLD is appropriate and safe for you.

When booking, it can be helpful to include a brief note about your goals, symptoms, surgery history, or reason for seeking MLD so we can guide you towards the most suitable treatment approach.
